Education – Restructuring, Reforming Rural Primary Schools

Life Global has fostered this initiative sponsoring redevelopment of 30 Primary Schools and aims to continue this noble endeavour in times ahead.

In 2001, post the devastating earthquake in Gujarat, Project ‘Life’ initiated the ambitious initiative to reform primary education for rural children in Gujarat by restructuring damaged & deteriorated schools in rural terrains and transforming them into new, modern, state-of the- art learning system.

The schools are further reinforced with digitization, smart classrooms, teachers’ training programs, scholarships, sports facilities and social and cultural activities to foster inclusive development of students with competitive and contemporary learning experience, helping them to move forward to higher education with confidence.

De-addiction campaigns, clean village movement and vertical gardening projects are added developmental initiatives in these villages for larger benefit to the community.

The intervention has restructured 119 schools by March 2026, with the incredible track record of delivering one new school every 75 days since 2001. These schools benefit over 35000 students every year.
